The Oakland Raiders have placed backup quarterback Charlie Frye on injured reserve with an injured right wrist.
Coach Tom Cable said Thursday that it will take four to five months for Frye to rehabilitate the hurt ligament.

Raiders' McFadden to miss preseason opener 8/10/2010 2:06:00 PM
Raiders running back Darren McFadden(notes) will miss the preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys with a sore left hamstring. McFadden injured the hamstring in the first practice last Saturday and has sat out practice since. He says he wants to make sure he’s completely healthy before returning to the field so the injury doesn’t linger all season. Source: yahoo.com

Former Jaguars defensive tackle John Henderson reached agreement Friday with the Oakland Raiders on a one-year deal, a team source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Friday. Jacksonville released Henderson in late April just days after the NFL draft.

Raiders file grievance against Russell 5/27/2010 4:04:00 PM
The Oakland Raiders have filed a grievance seeking nearly $10 million back from recently released quarterback JaMarcus Russell. Russell was released earlier this month after three disappointing seasons with the team. Raiders acquire QB Campbell from Redskins 4/24/2010 2:03:00 PM
The Oakland Raiders made the big trade for a quarterback that had been rumored for much of the offseason, acquiring former first-round pick Jason Campbell from the Washington Redskins on Saturday.
The teams agreed on the final day of the NFL draft for a 2012 fourth-round draft pick, possibly signaling the end of JaMarcus Russell's tenure in Oakland.

Forget the two-back system of years past: Cable wants Darren McFadden or Michael Bush to become an everydown back.
That's one reason they released Justin Fargas. Time for the young kids to take over.
"We'll move forward with those two guys," Cable said. "I think it will help both of them that they will get more work. The question with (Darren) is, now that he's healthy, can he be an everydown back? And I think he can be."

The Oakland Raiders have released running back Justin Fargas after seven seasons with the team. The team announced the move on Saturday, saying Fargas had failed a physical. Fargas was owed a $1.7 million bonus if he was still on the roster on Monday

Raiders coach Tom Cable told the Denver media during a conference call on Wednesday Charlie Frye would start at quarterback Sunday against the Broncos.
