Chester Taylor agrees to deal with Bears 3/5/2010 12:16:00 PM
Chester Taylor has agreed to terms on a four-year contract worth $12.5 million, according to a league source.
Taylor will be guaranteed $7 million.
The numbers are surprising since Taylor will turn 31 in September. But Taylor only started one full season, gaining 1,216 rushing yards, before Adrian Peterson took over as the Minnesota Vikings No. 1 tailback.

"Vikes RB Chester Taylor to Patriots?" 2/4/2009 10:50:00 AM
"In an attempt to get Matt Cassel, some people believe the Vikings would have to trade running back Chester Taylor and a first-round draft pick to the Patriots. Taylor has one season left on his contract, then would be free to leave. If he were traded, the Vikings would have to pick a running back high in April's draft as a backup to Adrian Peterson. "

Vikings RB Taylor listed as probable 10/26/2007 1:15:00 PM
Chester Taylor (groin) is officially listed as probable on the Vikings team site with full participation in Friday's practice. Taylors still recovering from a nagging groin and continues to lose carries to Peterson, so don't expect big numbers. The Eagles currently rank 8th in rushing yards allowed. In the 6 games the Eagles have played this year they have allowed an average of 88.0 rushing yards per game and have only surrendered 2 rushing TDs making Taylor a shaky start.
